It’s official: The Flash and Supergirl are crossing over. Grant Gustin will speed Barry Allen into National City in an upcoming episode of CBS’s Supergirl, slated to be broadcast on Monday, March 28.
New CBS president Glenn Geller raised the possibility of a crossover between his network’s “Supergirl” and the CW’s DC superhero drama “The Flash.” “I have to be really careful what I say here,” Geller said when asked by reporters during the Television Critics Association winter press tour. “Watch and wait and see what happens.”
“Supergirl” will be flying high for a full season, as CBS has picked up seven additional episodes of the superhero drama from mega-producer Greg Berlanti, totaling a 20-episode freshman season. One of the fall’s top-rated new shows, “Supergirl” has averaged 11.24 million viewers a week since it premiered on Oct. 26.
According to some fresh casting intel, the show is seeking a 13-year-old actor with “future leading man looks” to play the potentially recurring role of Kal-El, aka the future MoS. Lil’ Supes will first appear in this season’s 13th episode via a string of flashbacks that will establish the cherished bond between him and Kara.
