The Simon Williams movie poster festival continues. Yesterday, director James Gunn officially revealed that Nathan Fillion’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 cameo was limited to made-up movie posters featuring the actor as the Marvel Comics character Simon Williams, a.k.a. Wonder Man. The posters adorned a theater that didn’t ultimately make the cut in the St. Charles, Missouri sequence in the film.
Today, Gunn has revealed the second poster in this series with “Simon Williams” starring as Arkon, an actual character from the comics who debuted in The Avengers #75 in 1970. Created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema, Arkon is the greatest of a warrior race from the Realm of Polemachus. He’s never appeared in live-action, but he’s made animated appearances in X-Men: The Animated Series and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.
Wonder Woman keeps crushing it at the box office, and last night it set another big milestone! With over $609.8 million worldwide, Patty Jenkins now holds record for the highest-grossing live-action film to be directed by a woman. The previous record was held by Phyllida Lloyd, who directed the 2008 musical Mamma Mia!.
The Justice League Batmobile was photographed being transported… somewhere. It’s hard to say where this photo was taken, but it doesn’t look like London, where Justice League reshoots are currently underway. Perhaps this photo is from Los Angeles, on the way to the WB Studio Tour.
Dark Phoenix, the upcoming X-Men film about the classic Jean Grey storyline, is gonna be even more dazzling than other installments: EW can confirm that mutant pop star Dazzler, who not only can sing and dance but also manipulate light, will appear in Phoenix.

Aquaman Shrine tweeted that Kaan Guldur will be playing a 9 year old Arthur Curry. They also say that Aquaman will reveal character origins and Atlantean history via flashbacks, similar to Geoff Johns New 52 “Aquaman” comic book run.
