The Wall Street Journal reports that Disney remains interested in buying parts of 21st Century Fox and that the negotiations are gaining momentum. Comcast is also interested in Fox, which probably isn’t making things easy, and certainly not cheap, for Disney.
WSJ’s report comes on the heels of Deadline’s report earlier this week that Disney and Fox were negotiating again after talks had stalled in early November. The purchase is reportedly for most assets at 21st Century Fox outside of Fox’s news, sports, and broadcast network divisions. The deal would include Fox’s movie studio.
