There are many ingredients to the unprecedented success of Marvel Studios and, to those in the know, one of the biggest components is hardly a secret. Whether it’s in development, pre-production, production, post, or anywhere in between, filmmakers have come to rely on Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige not only to keep up with the goings on in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but also as an invaluable creative collaborator.

War Machine, is accidentally struck by a blast from Vision (Paul Bettany) and free falls from high in the sky all the way to the ground. In the commentary track for the film’s Blu-ray release, directors Joe and Anthony Russo tell the story of how a small editing note from Feige made a big difference and maximized the impact of Rhodes’ fall for the audience.
