Got to disagree with you on the bat v cap trilogy question. Caps trilogy doesn’t even have an ending where as Bats has a complete story. If you said the better universe it would be marvel but trilogy gotta be bats. Only character so far with what could be considered a complete trilogy in marvel camp would be iron man. As it has an ending but even then ironman 3 needs avengers to completely understand what is going on with him.
Yea, Hector and Agustin’s reasons for why Captain America is the better trilogy, are the exact reasons why Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy is better. It solely focused on Batman and his rogues in a realistic setting. They suggest that BECAUSE Captain America Winter Soldier and Civil War had SO MANY supporting characters and only so much time to tell it, is in my opinion why it’s not a better trilogy. Captain America movies had/needed practically half of the MCU’s cast to make a story. Nolan’s trilogy had Batman, Gordon, and his villains… I don’t see how someone who is critically analyzing Nolan’s Batman trilogy to the Captain America films could sit with a straight face and say the Cap movies are legitimately better. And I like the Captain America “trilogy” (more like Avengers 2.5, which is yet again a big reason WHY IT ISN’T better than TDK trilogy), is by far one of the better arcs in the MCU. I love both Cap and the TDK trilogy, but TDK takes the cake by far. It’s stuff like that that sometimes makes me think people are in a Marvel mindset right now as they dominate the box office and home tvs with their 13 movies.
The ethnic minority/diversity talk gets a little tiring, because it’s been on just about every episode I’ve watched now. What is usually avoided is that it was white guys who created these characters, back in a time when America was predominantly white… It’s not like they were racist or anything, they were simply men of their time writing for their time. It’s literally that simple. Of course I don’t mind more minority characters, I’d love to see the ones we have used more often. But when Marvel starts shoving gender and race changes to existing characters like they have, that gets annoying. And when the guys here start talking about it all, it’s like they just want to see more minority characters for the sake of it. Which of course isn’t a bad thing…
