I love Legion. But Legion had a brilliant showrunner and was produced by FX. This one is Fox/Marvel, and it’s showrunner’s best work is the very bland (at least for me) Burn Notice… I’ll give it a shot, but I’m not very hopeful. Definitely won’t reach Legion levels, that’s a guarantee.

For sure. But it’s also the way they went about it. It’s simply a great show. In the hands of a lesser showrunner, most people would move on after the first episode, I bet. But the way it was executed, the very artistic way they made the show was nothing short of brilliant for me. I don’t think the show could have been much better than it was, and even though I knew nothing of the characters before the show, I can’t wait for the show’s second season now. It didn’t have big names associated with it, it didn’t deal with big name characters either, and it still succeeded, doing it’s own thing.
As for Gifted I can’t really get excited about it. There’s nothing wrong with a straightforward show, for sure, but if it ends up just being another super hero show, then I can’t say I’m going to suffer through it like I did with Arrow’s third and fourth season, Supergirl or Agents of Shield, all of which I gave up on, although I still follow Arrow because of my feelings towards it’s second season. If it ends up being as unintentionally funny as Gotham, though, now that I can stand! Just grab some wine or beer, a friend or two, and rejoice!-
Good point. I still don’t really see much to be excited about it. Guess I’ll just have to wait for the premiere to see if it can win me over.
Oh, Gotham was doomed as soon as they approved those fucking scripts. They don’t even bother to at least get a good choreographer for the action scenes. The only small positive about the show I can honestly give it is the cinematography. And that’s it. Hopefully this doesn’t turn into a joke.
