ABC is announcing Friday, Sep. 29 as the television premiere date for its new series, Marvel’s Inhumans. That follows an exclusive two-week run on IMAX, where they’re gambling that their first two episodes can equal — or even exceed — the visual flair of a $200 million Marvel film (or at least an Ant-Man-sized $140 million?).
Astoundingly shite!!! Uncannily shite!!! MARVELOUSLY SHITE!!!… its shite…

I hope this can go away-and fast. No one likes the Inhumans better than the x-men and most people don’t even know who the hell these people are. I don’t think anyone asked for this. And we all know what happened to Powerless….

Not a chance sir. Marvel fans will watch anything remotely tied into the MCU. You should be more concerned about how much of a sleeper hit it will be.

ABC want those Grimm/Sleepy Hollow ratings. You don’t put a show like this on a Friday unless they just don’t care and hope that they can sweep it to the side.

It is why they have put Agents of.. on, not only Friday night, but following this things run. ABC don’t want to make it any more. Disney owns ABC. Disney tells ABC: Tough Shit. ABC puts it in death slot time, after terrible lead-in run, shows Disney minimal viewing figures & goes: Welp, guess it will have to go. :(

Guess you didn’t see the reviews/number of people quitting watching Iron Fist. I’m not even sure I want to watch the first episode.. On tv. I’m sure as shizzle not paying to see it in IMAX.

Right? Remember when they were banking on a huge feature film? Yeah that didnt go so well… why should this?
Trevor Philips
In all honesty, what would the film even be about? Would it be about the royal family or would it be an X-Men ripoff like what the later comics tried to do?

It was Marvel Comics (CEO/side of things) that was pushing for the Inhumans film (& yes, it was to try & replace the X-Men – as they don’t have the film rights to them), but it didn’t fit with Feige’s big picture for the MCU. It kept getting pushed back & pushed back (as Marvel CEO wouldn’t let him cancel it) > Then Feige pulled his coup > Marvel Films no longer reports to Marvel Comics > Marvel Films drops the unwanted Inhumans > Agents of SHIELD is left with a (major) story point that no longer ties in to anything > Marvel CEO still wants to do Inhumans, because he is the Donald Trump of the comic world.
(Vin Diesel was supposed to be Black Bolt – Groot was something for him to do in the mean time + an inside joke/nod, as the gave him a roll with 3 words, while he waited to play a character that doesn’t (often) speak.)

Can’t even imagine anyone hyped about this. Marvel’s been killing it on the tv side as well, but I honestly don’t see the appeal in this. Every piece of marketing I’ve seen regarding this show is the polar opposite of exciting, at best.

Lost me at the Black Bolt casting.. Then, just in case I wasn’t put off enough, they set it in Hawaii. Hawaii!

Like… what?

Everything about this just looks atrocious… especially those costumes… dear god… man they didnt put shit gor a budget into this! Guess that means its all profit tho… like someone else said… the diehard marvel fans will probably help this succeed… ugh…
