Warner Bros. meddling was not the problem with Suicide Squad. The problem with Suicide Squad was at the central core of the basic story which Ayer wrote. So he deserves much of the blame and the criticism.

(And I say this as a huge fan of the two Zack Snyder DCEU films, so I’m not a DC basher.)

I think the results of WW has effected how Snyder’s looked at by WB. He had limited influence on the movie and had an outcome of the best DC cinematic universe movie thus far. As good as Watchmen was, I still think WB made the wrong decision with giving the Sucker Punch director full control of their superhero universe.

As far as Fantastic Four goes, stop doing it for the license and stop relying on Doctor Doom as the villain. Focus on the story and make your audience care about the outcome of the characters. Save Doom for a sequel and make sure you give it all on the first movie.
