Black Panther isn’t in theaters until tonight, but we all know it’s going to be a massive hit. A sequel is a foregone conclusion, as T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) seems like a sure bet to survive the next two Avengers movies. Marvel Studios just has to make sure they get director Ryan Coogler back for another trip to Wakanda.
Studio chief Kevin Feige tells Variety that he “Absolutely” wants Coogler back for the sequel and hopes the director will return. Feige stopped short of officially announcing a Black Panther sequel, but he left little doubt that the story can and likely will continue.

Coogler is an established and talented director who is about to hand Marvel a fat payday, but it’s good to know your eyesight’s working, if little else
