Should I watch it? I’m on the fence, the trailer didn’t seem very impressive.

Hello, non Star Wars fan here: TLJ is NOT a good movie, and i just rewatched it.

Let me give you real critisicm, from an filmmaking angle, and from just rewatching it, but they were the same the first time i saw the movie:
-The movie is too long, it has not rhythm, it drags and needs more editing. It has to be half an hour shorter as a minimum. These cuts should have been from the subplots.
-The plots that are not Rey/Kylo Ren were boring, pointless, and should have been at the background of the movie instead of at the front.
-The humor was forced and out of place, but this is the cancer disney spreads, because it has infected the Marvel movies as well.
-The homages and winks were too much, like the appareance of Yoda, the previous one was too much about nostalgia, this was about letting the past die and yet it did the same thing.
-Some acting and dialogues were not very good either.I am not a SW fan, and Episdoe VII was a remake, but i liked it. This one failed to deliver on the setups of the previous one and it was just a mess.

The best part about this comment is the blatant hypocrisy in it. If the roles were reversed you would screech about how much a response like that makes no sense or say “at least I can defend my position” or some s*** like that. And it’s quite childish, so thanks for proving my point on those two ends.
Clearly you have some kind of mental deficiency. No one goes from 0-60 like that without some kind of issue. Most of us have a little switch in our head that says “you know what? That’s not proportionate” or “that’s a little too far.”

Irrelevant is a poor choice of words.
However, the movie studios only love it when it when the score is in their favor.
And if you want a great sense of what the critics think you’d promote the average score as opposed to the Tomatometer.
But I guess you and Gerber aren’t interested in that. “Average Score” isn’t as trollbaity as Tomatometer.

Rotten tomatoes is flawed. It makes you either say the movie was good or bad to score it. If you think the movie is okay, then what do you do? It’s like the American election system going by states instead of the popular vote. If in a state, 21 thousand people say trump and 20 thousand people say Clinton, then its as if all 41 thousand said trump. Rotten tomatoes should go off of a star based system instead of just, ‘its good or its bad’ (sorry this was kind of a rant)

TLJ was a derivative work at best… unoriginal and pandering. The only point to the movie was to suck more dollars out of your wallet to give to Disney. If you want to defend crap you just come off as a hack, Legendinmymind. Plus, stick to the topic at hand. You’re like a psych patient with tangential ideation… stay focused.

Bruh c’mon. That shit was prequels levels bad.
Luke is a vile character and unforgiveable in the film.
The story attempts to be new and different, but rehashes 5 and 6.
Everything Rose related is painfully bad. The dialogue is bad, it’s overly preachy, the plot is contrived, and it doesn’t move the story along at all.
The Rey/Kylo story is promising and then goes nowhere.

The only GOOD live action show based on a superhero/comic book so far is the two seasons of Daredevil, i watched only little from the first season of JJ and the villain was ridiculous

Jessica Jones season one is my favorite of all of the Netflix marvel shows to date, I’m about half way through season two and its been just OK at best for me, very preachy so far about “supers prejudice” (I guess that’s a thing), I’m definitely missing Killgrave, assuming he stays dead I think it was a huge mistake to kill him off in season one, but they could find a way to bring him back. The story really isn’t sucking me in, I’ve taken a few days off from watching it to watch other things, I’ll finish it for sure (I finished iron fist for God’s sake) but it’s not something that I felt the need to watch every episode of in a few days.

I felt the same way about Jessica Jones. I thought it was the best one. I actually did like that they killed KIllgrave. Every one always gets away and I felt like, finally! If they brought him back, I wouldn’t watch it anymore. LOL
Iron Fist was bad but I liked the backstory on The Hand.
Based on your take, I’ll watch JJS2. Should I watch Punisher? I was hesitant after watching The Defenders.

Yeah definitely, the Punisher was really good it’s probably my second favorite. It probably could have been a few episodes shorter, but that’s true of most if not all of the Netflix/Marvel shows. Another thing I didn’t mention before is that in season 2 JJ uses her powers a lot more and the effects are really sub par a lot of the time, she has an encounter with a “speedster” at one point and the whole scene was so cringy that I just had to laugh.

I thought the season 2 was good. I defiantly preferred season one but that doesn’t make season 2 bad. I enjoyed it none the less. it did start to drag towards the end, sort of like how Luke Cage did. I would say this was better than Luke Cage though. There’s a moment towards the end of episode 11 that was one of the best in the show in my opinion. Spoiler Warning: I did like the way the brought back Killgrave. He wasn’t really there but an illusion in Jessica’s mind. The one episode he was in was hands down my favorite, and is where the epic moment I mentioned before came from. All in all, I do recommend season 2 if you have the time.

Dude a little advice next time you do a spoiler warning put some space between spoiler warning and the spoiler, the way I read I take in all of the words in an area at once (as do many people I’m sure) so by the time I saw spoiler warning I already saw the next set of words as well… which were a MAJOR spoiler!!!

If you liked the first season, you will love season 2. I want to know when Netflix is going to commit to a multi-year contract for season 3-5. This show is a hit! The ending is a great setup for season 3; everything is about to change!
