The cast of Guardians of the Galaxy are standing by James Gunn. Ten days after he was fired from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the cast has come together with a joint statement in support of the writer-director. They are calling for Gunn to be reinstated by Disney.
The open letter was signed by Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel. The cast members have been sharing the letter on their social media accounts, as you can see below from Chris Pratt’s Instagram.

Fuck him. I’m willing to bet money if you search his computer you’ll find kiddy porn. No sane person “jokes” that much about pedophilia. They weren’t even jokes. Where’s the punchline?

It’s interesting how concerned everyone appears to be … about kids porn, abuse, etc. in general … whereas it shouldn’t be part of the reality of most healthy people at all … I wonder what’s that telling about all that criticism. Are you concerned you may not be able to protect your children – if so, the cause is of different sort and usually looks back at you when you’re standing in front of a mirror. And I’m a Psychologist working in a related field; so I know how people tick who are affected by such issues.
Parents who pretend to be outraged about Gunn’s comments in the past: Perhaps your energy would be better spent by rather focusing on your own kids, their well-being and well-behaving (many act like brats and lack any manners nowadays). Empower them and show them what to do when we fall (TDK reference, pun intended). Because that’s hard enough and energy better spent than raging about matters you appear to know little about and actually are of little practical relevance to you. Only because you have a child doesn’t make you qualified to make judgments of those sorts. Sometimes it’s easier to miss what’s right in front of you …
I judge people by the work they do and the values they express in it (music and art history does the same – otherwise you wouldn’t be allowed to listen to your Beethoven, Wagner, Orff, etc. – incl. many contemporary artists). James Gunn’s message in Guardians (, which is the only watchable Marvel series, btw) has been consistently that of warm-hearted redemption as much as about the outsiders who had been hurt and subsequently walked on the wrong path and corrected their course. Perhaps it’s an autobiographic element that one might find in those storylines … and it’s a good one! One that I wholeheartedly support!
To the conservatives: If you all are such good people, perhaps it would be time to honor your christian values and check the bible. Redemption is about the warm-hearted nature of a person winning over its surroundings … a great inspiration for all of us!

Pedophilia is prominent in Hollywood, it’s no secret. And a lot of people fall into it, unknowingly. If this means there’s one less pedo in Hollywood, then it’s a good thing.
