Disney and Marvel Studios may enjoy several Oscar® nominations for their achievements in popular filmmaking in the years to come. That does not mean, however, that they are content to settle only for the Academy’s new category. For Black Panther, Disney and Marvel still have their sights set on several categories, including Best Picture.

BP is one of the worst MCU films. Not saying it’s bad… I’m saying it’s nowhere near as good as biased critics would have you believe. The praise is purely political and EVERYONE knows it.

I disagree, I think it’s up there with TWS, reasons: Good soundtrack, action, villain, cinematography. The film had weight to it and the motivations of the hero and villain were easily understood. It was good in many of the things that marvel movies usually lack. Anyways that’s just my opinion.

Soundtrack was one of the worst in the MCU. The main Wakanda theme is pretty cool, but that’s it… If you want a good African themed soundtrack, listen to Blood Diamond (London & Solomon Vandy).
Action had piss poor CGI and was all around poorly executed in terms of choreography, not to mention it was very generic. There isn’t a single action scene that actually stood out. Just think of Avengers, Age of Ultron, Thor 3, Civil War, etc… all of those films have extremely memorable action scenes. BP had none of that.
Villain? My god, probably the most annoying, overacted, horrendously developed villain in the entire MCU. Sure, villains like Malaktih (however you spell it) were trash, but they didn’t pretend like he was a “deep” character. With Erik, they pretend like his motivation is tragic, when in fact it’s shockingly stupid and makes no sense. And MBJ was overacting to the extreme. “IMA KILL UU!! IMA BURN TIS!!!!”, man fuck that wannabe gangster bullshit. It was absolutely atrocious imo.
I swear, if his motivation wasn’t “slavery”, then no one would be praising this stupid character.
Cinematography in MCU films are almost always pretty… serviceable but not noteworthy and BP is no exception. And again, the fact that the CGI was trash didn’t help either.-
Thor Ragnarok and Age of Ultron are bad, also, Malekith was a good villain

Actually, without being great, is one of the best mcu films, some of the worst mcu films are: Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3, Ant-Man, Ant-Man & The Wasp, Thor Ragnarok. Since i dont live in the USA i did nto take it as the political statement it is and took it as a good movie, but it not even near as good as some say, the villain was meh, the action was meh.
Also, disney still canot help himself and put dumb, totally forced jokes in their movies.-
I never said the movie was political. I said the praise was. Big difference.
