The Oscar nominations are read in Los Angeles at just after 5 in the morning, a time when most late-to-wake Hollywood types would rather be slumbering underneath high-thread-count sheets. Still, the Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige wasn’t about to miss the televised announcement.

Do you think that they got an oscar just for Harley Quinn? Star Trek Beyond’s makeup is pretty mediocre when you consider that there are very few really great make up piece in the entire film.

No but your comment just showed Harley Quinn and most of the make up for Star Trek Beyond ( a movie I love) is alright and most of the pictures you showed are way too similar. The same type of slightly wider back of the head with either spikes or wrinkles for most of them. Meh

Don’t take it too literally, It was an example, I never said that they gave the Oscar to SS for Harley Quinn… or that it’s an unfair award for the looks of that crazily detailed looks of that alien woman.
So for you the tattoos, dirt and bleached skin isn’t “meh”? -
Truth is it is important. The movies that where up that year didn’t really have anything better than SS. The makeup on every character is good. The choices might not be. Like with the joker’s crappy tats. But the makeup itself is seamless. Croc is more impressive than anything in Beyond. That’s why it won.
