Black Widow will not be rated R. There were rumors suggesting Marvel Studios had at least considered an R rating for the film, but they were completely bogus. Studio president Kevin Feige has set the record straight.

Of course it was never going to be, she’s the leading lady of the MCU pretty much and young girls love her so no way are they going to cut out that audience and have Black Window blowing peoples heads off, throwing F-Bombs and having heavy sex scenes. If they want a more serious film then just go for the tone TWS had, that was fairly serious and mature and got by just fine with a PG-13 rating.
