I feel the same way about this as I did about the Samuel L. Jackson comments of “Marvel has heroes, DC has villains.” It just sounds like these guys are talking out of their ass because they don’t actually know anything about comics outside of the studio they work in.

I could go on and list all the great DC Characters but I don’t think that’s necessary.
Put it this way: Iron Man, Thor and Captain America combined don’t add up to the legacy that is Batman and Superman. None of those characters were even household name’s before the MCU.
Now Marvel has been in the process of introducing their peripheral characters that many don’t know about, which is good, but they don’t stack up to Wonder Woman, Flash or Green Lantern who could be considered more important culturally.

He’s just mad because DC Comics/Universe rejected him. He wanted to get a role in Batman v Superman and DC Comics didn’t want him in it. I love both DC Universe and Marvel Universe but Marvel really needs to lay off all the trash talk. The two trash talkers of Marvel I’m tired of is Stan Lee and Samuel L. Jackson. lol :)

Ha. It’s funny because you could argue the fact that the casual movie goer had no idea about Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, etc until the movies. If anything DC has a leg up on them due to the sheer popularity of Superman and Batman alone.

People knew who Iron Man and Thor were dont try to belittle them just for the sake of being butthurt by Lee’s comments. They had popular cartoons in the 60’s just as Superman, Batman, Flash, Spider-Man, Hulk, Fantatic Four and Captain America did. And this carried into the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and last decade.

If you would read the first sentence… Of course there were popular comics. I’m not saying there wasn’t. What I said was, as far as casual movie goers, no one was clamoring for Iron Man and Thor movies. Marvel comics have been successful for a long time but I’m just talking cinematics. I don’t know how old you are but in my lifetime the average person wasn’t talking about marvel characters other than Spider-Man until this new MCU started.

Did you know that Stan Lee and Bob Kane were best friends? Bob Kane also said something similar to Stan in a joking manner when Batman 89 came out and said “where’s your Spiderman movie now?”. Funny thing is, back in the 80s, these retarted fanboy wars never existed

Yeah, I saw the documentary. I’m not saying that Stan Lee is a bad guy. But the dude basically said that DC has two heroes, and “MAYBE” Wonder Woman. And I don’t think he was joking. But that’s mainly Warner Brothers’ fault, for green-lighting movies with bad and below average scripts. And now it’s up to Zack Snyder, David Ayer, and others, to restore some order…….
