I agree with him, this whole Marvel vs DC thing is stupid. Marvel makes great fun action adventure type films while DC wants to make action drama type films. I love Batman, I am a life long fan and have watched the Nolan trilogy God knows how many times but guess what I also love Daredevil and I love their new show, while I will always love Gotham more (admittedly biased) I know Daredevil to me at least is the best live action superhero show so far.
You can love both and I’m glad Whedon brings that out. Marvel and DC are so different people need to chill out sit back go to whatever they want to see if it be Avengers or Batman v Superman who cares?
You can still have your opinion and debate if you wish but there are some who do take it a little far. Geez it’s not a disaster if your a DC fan and Marvel makes a movie that is better that year or earns more money, and it ain’t a tragedy if your Marvel fan and someone tells you they think TDK is the greatest comic book film ever made so far or DC puts out a movie that year that is more critically acclaimed. -
It’s great to see Joss enjoying not just the MCU but also the coming DC films. Marvel and DC fans alike are better off when each one does well. I would be heartbroken to see a world that’s forgotten about Captain America or forgotten about Superman.
He also makes a great point about the differing approaches. I loved the Avengers film, I remember watching it with friends and we were laughing our asses off and having a great time. And that’s what it’s all about, good times. And that same group of friends got together to watch Man of Steel, and we went to eat afterwards and talked about all the stuff that happened in the movie. They’re different but enjoyable in their own ways.
