Regardless of the flawed characterizations, the extended cut of BVS was definitely more coherent and understandable than the hacksaw job the theatrical one was.
With WB and DC FINALLY offshooting into DC Films, one would hope their would be less studio intervention meaning we wouldnt have to be promoted all these “extended cuts” or “versions we should have shown in the first place” -
After that tragically horrible opening 20 minutes of this nonsensical film, I doubt even an extended cut can save this one – it made the opening sequence of BvS look Oscar worthy in comparison.
Sure, MoS and BvS weren’t the greatest superhero films ever made, but they were at least quite enjoyable. SS was an awful misstep, and I’ll not even considering viewing this cut of the film.
Hope Just League gets things back on track.
