Black Panther graces EW’s annual Comic-Con preview issue, featuring an exclusive set visit beyond the border of Wakanda — the fantastical African nation where Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa rules over a secretive and futuristic society.
Michael B Jordan looks hilariously out of place… He looks like an African American pretending to have any connection to traditional African culture, while King T’Challa actually looks like he’s part of that culture without trying. Then again, the retarded “we need to have rap music for the BP trailer because it’s about black actors” thing really left a bad taste in my mouth. Rap music shouldn’t even be remotely associated with Wakanda. I guess that’s what happens when studios are trying so desperately to “represent” some sort of culture. Anyways, enough ranting. I hope Coogler can deliver, as he has always done thus far.
