It’s sad how quickly Marvel destroyed what a superhero film could strive to be. Guarantee if Dark Knight came out today it would get much the same criticism as MoS and BvS. People would complain it was too dark and too serious and not “fun”. It wouldn’t be the massive hit that it was. Nolan was smart to get out of the game before the tides shifted. He died the hero and didn’t live long enough to see himself become the villain.

Your argument is absolutely destroyed not only by what LegendInMyMind said, but the fact that Logan, a movie with no jokes, a very dark and grim subject matter, and not afraid of actually taking risks (not “DC films risks”, which are nothing but changing the fundamental characteristics of the characters because Zack Snyder finds their classic selves boring, oh and these are his words btw), is the best reviewed movie since The Dark Knight trilogy.
