DC Comics superheroes are uniting in a potential new drama series at the CW, a spinoff from hits Arrow and The Flash that will feature several fan-favorite recurring actors/characters from both shows. I have learned that the network has teamed with Arrow creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim for a project eyed for next season toplined by Brandon Routh, Victor Garber, Wentworth Miller and Caity Lotz.
canary is dead? and why would there only be half of firestorm? a very strange combo of people

I hope it’s an anthology series. Recurring characters but a different story each episode, but all taking place in the same universe. Imagine how many characters they could introduce this way, imagine the team-ups, the endless possibilities. I’m getting ahead of myself.

Umm…naaah. I say just run with what they have. An Atom show spinoff with Routh? Sure. But a team-up show with characters that already exist in another show with one having been killed? Huh? Just doesn’t make a whole lotta sense to me and seems like a milking tactic of the CW DC-verse.

Hmm…with such a strange lineup of actors/characters, I’m thinking it’ll be a miniseries (a la Agent Carter) about the Flashpoint Paradox. Arrow will take the place of Batman, perhaps Ray Palmer gets his A.T.O.M powers from the accelerator and is a metahuman, maybe Martin Stein will be firestorm alone, Captain Cold will be Citizen Cold and a good guy (like the comics and the movie) and perhaps in this universe it was Laurel Lance who was killed and Sara Lance is the new Canary. Unless, of course, there is still more of the current cast to be announced…(Robbie Amell, etc) In which case, I’m thinking it’ll be a JLU-type thing where each episode focuses on a different character/characters. Personally, I’d prefer the Paradox option.
