‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Black Panther’ have already given Marvel Studios their best year ever

Marvel Studios set a company best in 2017 with just under $2.6 billion in global box office revenue. It was the first year in which the studio had released three films. Marvel is releasing three films again this year, but has already broken last year’s record with just two.

Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War have earned a combined $2.78 billion at the worldwide box office. Black Panther, now available digitally, accounts for $1.34B of that total. Avengers: Infinity War currently stands at $1.44B (including $148M from its first two days in China).
