Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 20 hours, you’ve seen the first photo of Jason Momoa as Aquaman from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The costume was designed by Michael Wilkinson, who has worked with Zack Snyder previously on movies like Watchmen, Sucker Punch, and Man of Steel. Wilkinson shared a few words with toofab about his Aquaman design, which has now been seen by the whole world:
“It has been a thrill and an honor to bring this iconic character to life for a modern audience,” Wilkinson tells toofab of his Aquaman design.
“Zack Snyder has a brilliant vision for making this character powerful and relevant,” he continues. “I enjoyed designing a costume that reflects this vision and honors the character’s rich legacy.”
