Captain Marvel is getting ready to start production early next year. Casting news is going to be breaking periodically, beginning today with a Variety report that Ben Mendelsohn is up for a villain role in the film.
Mendelsohn is no stranger to villain roles, having played one in The Dark Knight Rises and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, among other films. There is, however, a more powerful force at play here than typecasting. Captain Marvel would reunite Mendelsohn with his Mississippi Grind directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck.

Got his head snapped by Bane and was choked by Darth Vader. Does this guy have a fetish for that kind of thing or something?
In which case, I hope Captain Marvel does something similar to Ben.

Both Marvel and DC can’t get enough of using the same actors for villains, lol
