Warner Bros. on Tuesday — as promised — released the first trailer for Birds of Prey, a new film starring Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie).

In the trailer, Quinn opines about her breakup with Joker but also relishes the possibilities her new independence brings. She’s finally free to do as she pleases. As it turns out, Quinn isn’t the only one who’s looking for their freedom.

No official synopsis is included with the trailer, but as far as we can tell, Quinn gets mixed up with Black Mask (Ewan McGregor) and is forced to team up with other heroines, including Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Black Canary (June Smollett-Bell), Orphan (Ella Jay Basco), and a very grumpy Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez).

As Quinn seeks independence, she also appears to yearn for her own legacy. Someone who people fear and also respect, rather than simply being associated with Mr. J.

If you liked Robbie as Quinn in 2016’s Suicide Squad, it looks like fans will get plenty more of where that came from.

Birds of Prey (and the Emancipation of One Fabulous Harley Quinn) hits theaters on February 7, 2020.
