Black Panther is every bit as big as Hollywood thought it would be at the box office. Including the $25.2M from Thursday night screenings, the new Marvel Studios film is on pace for a $72M Friday in North America. That points Black Panther toward a three-day total of $175M and a four-day gross between $200M and $205M.
Should those numbers hold, Black Panther will have the fourth best three-day opening in Marvel Studios history. It would trail only The Avengers ($207.4M), Avengers: Age of Ultron ($191.3), and Captain America: Civil War ($179.1M).

My cousin in gatlinburg said the theater there was packed with black people from everywhere but there, cuz uh well, there aren’t many black people there, and I saw the same in my town of Whitekanda
