Black Panther got a major surge in business on Saturday to push it well over all of the previous box office estimates. Motivated by an outstanding marketing campaign and the film’s fantastic word-of-mouth, moviegoers came out in droves last night. Black Panther is now headed for a $195.5M domestic opening weekend over three days and $225M over four days, according to industry estimates
Disney’s projections are a little more conservative ($192M three-day, $218M four-day), but either way, this means Black Panther is going to break multiple box office records.

Is it true that Micheal B. Jordan steals the show?

With a lot of Marvel films, the focus is pretty much only on the main
character and maybe a few side characters. In this film, I feel as
though I got to know every character. The whole cast was great and had a chance to shine.2 likes -
In a way, yeah he does.

Good list. Black Panther is certainly the most impactful of the mcu, but I’m more into team ups and action. Ragnarok had both. Comedy elevated it even more. I’m a simple guy in those terms. We both rate the Guardians high though you way more so. Can’t wait to see em meet the rest of the gang!

It would be Mortal Kombat annihilation 2, not even factoring in the first Mortal Kombat. Watching it again I realized he was a very good villain. I still did not like his plan just like the first time I watched it, but he himself was great. So was Ronan, there I said it. I don’t think people gave Hydra as a whole enough credit, and I love me some Ultron. I think aside from that I pretty much agree with the consensus on the villains. Oh and I thought abomination put up a pretty good fight, but the rest of the movie was just ok.

Yeah you nailed it. When he was screaming right before he died, he reminded me a bit of stuntman Mike. A little stunt man Mike goes a long way.

A lot of people think that same thing. I can see why. I guess I just disagree. I love that chase scene, best chase in years until I guess the Raid 2.

Well my sister loved all that nonsense the girls talked in the first half, so we quoted it constantly. Planet Terror was more my jam.

Buzzwords such as “this and that TOTALLY steals the show” are thrown around so lightly these days that they have lost all meaning. No, there was nothing noteworthy about his performance. It wasn’t bad for a Marvel villain, for sure, which isn’t saying a whole lot, but I guess it’s a real feat coming from them. If anything, it was the criminally underused and ultimately completely wasted Andy Serkis who gave the only performance that stood out as unique among all the standard ‘just fine’ acting seen in most Marvel movies. He should have been the main villain, not Humantorch.
