Read the Full StoryWe got word last night that Alec Baldwin will join the cast of Todd Phillips’ Joker prequel/origin story flick. Baldwin will be playing Thomas Wayne, who may or may not be portrayed in this 1980s-set flick as a greasy “Donald Trump-like” figure. This led to speculation that this proverbial Elseworld will reveal that Bruce Wayne’s dad cheated on his mom and that Bruce and the man who would be Joker will be revealed to be brothers in an Austin Powers: Goldmember/Spectre-style twist that will surprise absolutely no one. If I seem to be rolling my eyes a little bit, it’s because this all feels like the makings of another Solo-type flameout.
