Disney and Lucasfilm’s Solo: A Star Wars Story is struggling in its debut at the Memorial Day box office, where it’s coming in well behind expectations with an estimated three-day debut of $83.3 million-plus and four-day debut of $101 million (numbers will be updated Monday morning). That’s even worse than forecasts earlier in the weekend.
If 1 thing is clear its that the fans backlash against Star Wars isnt just fat old white men in their parents basement but a significantly large group made up of all races, genders, etc. Media can continue to ignore them at their own peril.

Amazing news, I hope they fire Kathleen Kennedy, stop the SJW bullshit, start treating fans with respect, and make movies about stuff fans actually asked for
Clay Castille
And what, like, stuff are fans asking for?
lowdevil
OK just a couple of questions. How did ‘they’ make a ‘forecast’ of 140 million? We know why ‘they’ did so should these fake forecasts be completely eliminated? How did this film get bombarded with positive reviews by critics ive never heard of on May 25th?
Clay Castille
Can’t google predict BO with considerable accuracy?

Well, that’s what happens when you take a WORLDWIDE loved IP and put it in the hands of uber-feminists.
1ST – People need to STOP blaming Disney and start putting the blame where it belongs – right at the feet of Super-feminist, Kathleen Kennedy, and that God-awful Lucasfilm story group. I really don’t understand why so many people feel the need to blame… Disney. Use your brain and think. Disney owns multiple properties and they don’t meddle in the running of those properties. Alas, they don’t treat Lucasfilm any different.
2ND – This movie REEKS of more SJW cliches that started in The Last Jedi. Kathleen and The LfSG just can’t help themselves. The reason why The Force Awakens and Rogue One didn’t fall victim to this uber feminist bullshit, is because the two directors of those two movies were for the most part left alone and they were the default “poster boys” for the “new” Star Wars. Solo was more of a joke than TLJ was. And that’s saying something.
It’s going to make SOME money, but it’s going to be a slow burn. Kathleen Kennedy will literally be the death of Star Wars.
Nahuel Benvenuto
you are right, kinda, disney sucks but you have yet to figure out it seems, Rogue One and TFA were not great
myzterius
You hate everything your lord and savior wasnt involved in. Troll snyder fanboy..
ItzSilentStorm
I actually liked rogue one quite a bit. The only Disney Star Wars movie I have liked thus far honestly. As for Disney, I don’t despise them. I do however despise people’s undying loyalty to them. I still don’t like the idea of them owning Star Wars though
Clay Castille
Oh my god what a pathetic imbecilic take. Your fear of women reeks, considering nobody involved in SW production is an uber feminist, not Kasdan, Howard, and Kennedy included and if you knew anything about filmmaking you’d know what an astounding track record Kennedy has. What a whiny little c**t! Also, your info on SW production is flat out wrong. It’s Rian Johnson who had the most freedom to make the SW film he wanted and Garreth Edwards and Abrams who had the least. Virtually zero of your statements have any basis in fact whatsoever!
ᗩᖇᑕᕼᗩᑎGᕮᒪᒪ
So because I don’t like what uber-feminist, Kathleen Kennedy is doing to Star Wars, I fear women? Hahahahhahaaa…. Ok Sparky, If you say so. The amount of cognitive dissonance in your comment makes me weep. Actually, EVERYTHING I wrote is factual. I couldn’t give a rat’s ass if you agree with it or not. The truth does not need your agreement nor your approval, you liberal vagina-hat wearing douche bag. Now go to your safe-space and be offended by that. GtFOoHWtBS
Clay Castille
It would take some semblance of coherence to offend me, which you’re short on, clearly not all you’re short on aside from the crocodile tears!
ᗩᖇᑕᕼᗩᑎGᕮᒪᒪ
And Yet… your paper-thin, everything is a phobia self keeps coming back. You replied to my comment. Crocodile tears indeed. You people need some new material.
Qthetar .
I watched TLJ why do people hate it so much! I’m no SW fanboy so maybe something in the movie happened but I enjoyed it as much as any other SW movie. They have always been popcorn flicks to me nothing more or not to piss some off but at least since they rebooted it.
kimbanyc
I enjoyed the movie…enjoyed all the ” new ” Star War flicks….What amazes me are the whiny crybabies on this thread crying about the women in these films and the one guy here twisting himself in knots to not complain about the non white characters….Grow up TrumpFluffers and enter the 21st Century.
Jonathan Tostado
I enjoyed Solo but I was very hesitant to go because of the dumpster fire known as TLJ. I can only imagine that other people didn’t go at all because of the poor experience they had with TLJ. And I’m sure there will be someone who posts how they loved the TLJ and to stop complaining because it was different and all of that nonsense. Guess what? The numbers don’t lie. Its not haters, and its not “fatigue”. It was having a garbage movie aka TLJ sold to the public like it was a masterpiece. Backlash baby. Backlash.

It is the law of diminishing returns, which was predictable when you start having a new Star Wars movie every year or, even worse, two movies less than one year apart from each other..
