‘Captain Marvel’ adds Annette Bening, possibly as Carol Danvers’ mother

Captain Marvel has added another stellar name to its cast. Annette Bening is joining the film in an undisclosed role.

The Hollywood Reporter describes Bening’s character as a scientist while Variety’s Justin Kroll says Bening will play the mother of Carol Danvers (Brie Larson).
