Not surprising. It’s the Marvel standard. After 10+ years of a cinematic universe, they have everyone’s attention and money regardless if the movies are any good or not.
I tuned out after Civil War and I’ve been catching up on the films on Netflix over the past few weeks…not impressed. Ant-Man is the most entertaining of them all and the rest of them are just overrated. Black Panther was probably the worst one.
you’re missing the point. The point is that this film was proyected to make $160M in its opening weekend… then Larson started with her feminazi ranting, and now proyections are at $100M in less than 2 weeks! I wonder if it will drop even further
Do you honestly think that is how it happened? Cause it is really not. Two different unconnected models gave 2 different projections. Like they do oh every single time.
Still not feeling the hype
BoxOfficePro originally projected a $160M opening weekend and $465M domestic total. Anything less than that would be considered a disappointment.
It was not a $160M opening, no… It was “a monstruous $160M opening”… then the final $465M cume dropped to $440, with an opening of around $140-$160. Now, it’s $100M give or take $20M
My my my… lots of Marvel hate in the room.
What matters is not how well it opens, but how much it will drop next week. Given the bad word of mouth, I am expecting it to drop fast.
