You hear it all the time if you’re a superhero fan. It’s the flaws that make Marvel characters great. As clichéd as that may sound, moviegoers’ response to the first ten years of Marvel Studios films suggests it’s also true. According to star Brie Larson, Captain Marvel will provide additional evidence through the imperfections of its titular hero.
Carol Danvers (Larson) has Kree and human blood running through her veins and this creates a natural conflict within the character. “You have this Kree part of her that’s unemotional, that is an amazing fighter and competitive,” Larson tells Entertainment Weekly. “Then there’s this human part of her that is flawed but is also the thing that she ends up leading by. It’s the thing that gets her in trouble, but it’s also the thing that makes her great. And those two sides warring against each other is what makes her her.”

I know she is going to be incredibly powerful. (I think they said the most powerful) but they have to handle it the right way. There are too many egos on the Avengers for (some of them) to secede that she is. (Thor, Hulk, even Banner for Hulk, Iron-Man, Dr. Strange) Scarlet Witch and Vision don’t seem to have egos about their powers. There’s also the situational aspect. Cap and Bucky beat Iron-Man, Iron-Man beat Hulk. Hulk beat Thor, Thor beat Hulk, Iron-Man and Thor had a standstill, Scarlet Witch beat the Avengers with a slight distraction by Quicksilver, Thor’s Stormbreaker makes him able to kill Thanos with the full gauntlet, Dr. Strange outwitted Dormammu…
The point is, she is powerful and they can either make her boring because of it or she can be thrown into the “superhero rivalry” aspect of the MCU that they have handled so well.0 likes
