Chris Hemsworth and Taika Waititi talked ‘Thor 4’ on New Year’s Eve

Thor: Ragnarok reinvigorated the Marvel Studios franchise that had fallen behind the likes of Iron Man, Captain America, and Guardians of the Galaxy. All of the sudden, the Thor franchise has a new lease on life just when it seemed like things should be slowing down. The only downside is that all of this happened just in time for star Chris Hemsworth’s contract to expire.

All is not lost, however, as the fun he had on the third film has made Hemsworth open to the idea of signing up for more Marvel fun. As he tells USA Today, he and Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi kicked around ideas for a fourth film while ringing in the new year.
