Hopefully it doesn’t get the Thor 2 syndrome. This time it has the same director as the original. But with Joss Whedon he simplified the second Avengers movie to where the first was much better as far as story goes. It’s unlike Joss Whedon to lose his formula like that based on his track record with Buffy and Angel. The tempos would change alot with each of the sequels because of everything else that is going on, so the quality of writing can change depending on that where you never know. Such as one of the sequels might not be as good, and others could be better, because of everything else that is going on depending on the period and the other movies released. It sounds like it could be really cool because James Gunn wants to get deeper into the Guardians of the Galaxy mythos. There’s a lot they can get into. You don’t hear about Marvel Studios directors being more motivated for sequels as you do with James Gunn, and also with the Russo Brothers who have just had Captain America 2: Winter Soldier so far for Marvel Studios where they’re doing Captain America 3: Civil War and Infinity War parts 1 and 2. Chris Pratt is becoming one of the biggest name actors with some of his big movie releases that aren’t just Marvel Studios films.
