By now you’re probably just returning from a late night screening of Fantastic Four. Or maybe you went to late showing last night. Or maybe the bad reviews scared you away completely. This movie was horrible. There was lots of cheesy writing coupled with long exposition an a 15 minute climax. Very disappointing

It wasnt as bad as people say, IMO. Sure, the movie feels rushed in the 2nd half, some cheesy writing, some aweful vfx, certain scenes badly executed, screwed up Dr, Doom. But I like the casting, I like the slow development first half (a la Batman Begins), some caractere developement are nice, it has a good base but good screwed up in the making. It could have been a much more nice movie.

This movie was pretty good in my opinion. I’m not saying it was great. It was weird that 90% of the movie led up to them actually getting their powers, but it’s not like the lead-up was boring. The script seemed to be fairly well written. Well, up until about the end where it became a little cringe-worthy. The biggest problems for me were the lackluster action sequences including the finale. Marvel has set a pretty big precedent with their action scenes being really good. Fantastic Four just didn’t live up to that. But all in all, I thought the rest of the movie was done well. Props to Miles Teller for selling me on his take of Reed Richards.

I went in thinking it was gonna be a b movie, but i was surprised, not saying its a oscar worthy movie, but it wasn’t as bad as i felt people were making it out to be, but like everyone else, i too felt like the movie was to short, i really enjoyed the first part, when u get a small look into their childhood (Reed and Grimm) how they were very good friend, i liked that alot, but the movie was so short, the 2nd part of it felt rushed, for example when they fight doom, that was way to easy i felt. But i’d rate it a very generous 6/10, i dont get what the vxf complains come from, i think it looked WAY better than the first ones they made a reboot of, and decent overall. The tweet from the producer though, that he had a great film, but fox runied it, during the film i felt like that was something i noticed, because like many people say, it was a good movie until the 2nd part, and if i had to take a guess, i’d say thats the part the company wanted changed.

Pretty much the Terminator GeniSys of Superheros.

I don’t think it was horrible, but it’s not good either. The first act was pretty good: we got to know the characters and their motivations and there were some relationships developping that seemed pretty interesting. After “One year later”… that’s when things started to fall apart. No action, no connection between the characters and a bad villain. It was so rushed that I honestly felt like there were parts of the movie that were missing. And, I understand this is a nitpick, but was anyone else annoyed but that guy who kept chewing gum? That was so distracting to me! I think there was a good movie somewhere in there. I saw hints of it. It’s a shame we didn’t get to see all of it.
