In anticipation for this November’s Thor: Ragnarok from Marvel Studios, the good people at LEGO have revealed some exciting new sets related to the movie. The playsets look to highlight some pretty big scenes from the movie, including the long-awaited fight between Thor and the Hulk, and give us some good looks at characters like Valkyrie, Hela, and the Grandmaster. For those keeping score, I’m pretty sure this is the first Jeff Goldblum minifig. It’s been a long time coming.
Besides looks at the characters, there are some pretty cool looking vehicles and buildable figures in each set. The Grandmaster’s stadium is an appropriately gaudy mixture of bright blue and red bricks, and the Fenris wolf looks like it will be a fun build. I’m maybe a tad disappointed that there isn’t a Skurge figure with some little M-16s so he can stand alone at Gjallerbru… but perhaps that is enough.
Thor: Ragnarok is a Marvel Studios production from director Taika Waititi and writer Eric Pearson. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban, Mark Ruffalo, and Anthony Hopkins, and will release in cinemas on November 3, 2017.
