Update: Apparently this trailer was “leaked”, because it’s been removed from Vimeo and YouTube at the request of Warner Bros. and SyFy.
“Years before the Superman legend we know, the House of El was shamed and ostracized. This series follows The Man of Steel’s grandfather as he brings hope and equality to Krypton, turning a planet in disarray into one worthy of giving birth to the greatest Super Hero ever known.”

Looks good.
So is this like part of the DCEU or something?
I was wondering the same thing. It seems to be but with all of the other DC shows out there that aren’t part of the DCEU idk if it for sure is.
It’s supposed to be.
It’s a Prequel to Man Of Steel about Kal-El’s grandfather. So, yeah it’s part of the DCEU
I doubt it. Pretty sure it’s like “Gotham” and part of its own continuity. DC’s been pretty clear about not mixing they’re TV and movie properties.
Why are they using the old DC logo in the beginning?
Birth-planet to the greatest Super Hero ever known?! But Batman wasn’t born on Krypton. 😄 Smart move, (allegedly) connecting it to the movies. If it’s written well, the world-building could potentially help both the show, and the DC films.
Keep it
Cool, but Krypton looks different from the Man of Steel one or is it just me?
We only saw a section of Krypton, so it could possibly be on another city or part of the planet maybe? Still not sure how connected this to MOS since their outfts look a little different too. Maybe Krypton just went under a lot of construction between then and MOS lol
True, the only thing that made me think this is actually connect is the key.
Gotta say, i’m intrigued. SyFy is doing a great job of coming out of the stupid low budget b-movies era. Good for them.
Also, watch The Expanse. Such a great show.
Did someone forget to tell them DC changed their logo?
Since it was taken down, maybe it was an older cut that they didn’t plan on releasing?
“My future grandson, your birth world will be a distant memory”
What can see the future? sucks already
Probably understood that Krypton was dying which would explain why Jor-El was so different-minded from everyone.
Taken down man.
Yeah i did too. Disappointed!!!
Nice, thanks
I would much rather that WB (preferably with Zack Snyder directing) make an official prologue film to “Man of Steel” that focuses on Jor-El and Zod (with Russel Crowe and Michael Shannon returning) in the years prior to “MoS” when they were (presumably) uneasy allies.
(And assuming “Justice League” focuses on Apokolips and Darkseid as the antagonists, I’d also love to see Snyder direct an epilogue film to his Justice League Trilogy that focuses on the New Gods (Apokolips and New Genesis)).
Personally I think a two-hour film about the events leading up to the fall of Krypton could be really interesting, but I’m having trouble imagining an ongoing series sustaining that interest over a season (or more).
