Star Wars: Episode IX has wrapped principal photography. Details on the film remain scarce, as we do not even know the full title yet. We do know, however, that it has been billed as the final chapter in the Skywalker Saga and is also the end of an era for stars of the current trilogy.
Director J.J. Abrams announced the picture wrap on Twitter and shared an emotional photo of Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), and Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron) embracing each other. “There is no adequate way to thank this truly magical crew and cast,” Abrams wrote. “I’m forever indebted to you all.”
It feels impossible, but today wrapped photography on Episode IX. There is no adequate way to thank this truly magical crew and cast. I’m forever indebted to you all. pic.twitter.com/138AprtFuZ

This image is absolutely beautiful. We do not know what the future holds for these three actors and their characters, but it is very moving to see just how much this moment and the past several years have meant to them.
Episode IX news is still going to be few and far between for several weeks, but plenty is sure to be revealed at Star Wars Celebration Chicago in April.
