James Gunn says he passed on an opportunity to direct a DC movie before his Marvel gig

In a new fan Q&A session via his official Facebook page, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn reveals that he could’ve directed a DC Comics film adaptation in the past, prior to his involvement with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, Gunn goes on to add that he’s no longer interested in helming one of their films, a statement which comes on the heels of a previous Tweet where Gunn revealed that while he’s certain there’ll be a third Guardians film, he’s unsure about whether he’ll return to direct. Is he feeling a bit of superhero fatigue?
