Kendrick Lamar to produce ‘Black Panther: The Album’

A couple weeks, ago Kendrick Lamar teased his involvement with the Black Panther soundtrack in his music video for his song “LOVE.” Many figured this meant Lamar would create an original song for the film, and that has happened, but it’s also much more.

Lamar, along with Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith and Top Dawg Entertainment, are producing and curating Black Panther: The Album. It will feature songs from and inspired by the film, as Lamar and Tiffith are working closely with Black Panther director Ryan Coogler to create music “specific to the needs of the film.”

Kendrick Lamar has teamed with SZA to create the first single, “All The Stars,” which is available now on Spotify.
