Reddit user JonLuca says he went to a special screening of Doctor Strange on Thursday night, and Kevin Feige and director Scott Derickson held a special Q&A afterwards. Feige accidentally revealed that Michael Giacchino will be composing the music for Spider-Man: Homecoming and then quickly added “We announced that right? I really hope we announced that.”

Cool, so he can just cut and paste entire sections from his Star Trek score for this one too

While I did like the Doctor Strange music more than most MCU films, yeah. I can’t help but agree with you. Hope he turns out something really good for this. Haven’t loved a Spider-Man score since the Raimi films.

Right! Dr. Strange kind of does have the best MCU score, but it’s as unoriginal as they all are but in a more specific way. And not being able to nail Spiderman after Hans Zimmer and Danny Elfmen is sad. The state of comic book movies this year is sad altogether, save Deadpool, sort of, which Junkie XL did a better job with than BVS.

Is this the first time Feige has slipped up? That’s a pretty good record for keeping hush hush on secrets. :)
