UPDATE: Sony has officially released the new Venom trailer online!
A snippet of footage from the new CinemaCon trailer for Sony’s Venom has leaked online, and it shows Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock transforming into the monstrous Marvel antihero.

but like…why does this movie need that? Just doesn’t seem like a character that needs to be R rated

i mean ya he is a bad guy…but Idk if he is what I would call him an R rated character. Honestly my assumption was that it must have something to do with Carnage possibly being in this movie. Otherwise I feel this is something that can be done justice with a pg13. Besides, its not like they would ever make an R rated Spider Man movie even if Venom was in it…but you take someone like Deadpool or the punisher who are often explicitly intended for mature readers and its totally understandable to have an R rating. I just don’t think its completely necessary here. Im sure there CAN be some benefits by allowing them some more freedom to make it a bit more intense, but the same could be said for Batman…that doesn’t mean they are going to make an R rated Batman movie though. Idk, we’ll see.

Can anyone tell us who does the voice for the Symbiote? Probably not Tony Todd, but that’s who I thought it was at first. I like him, whoever he is
