A fan connected Hamill and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 writer-director James Gunn yesterday and a couple years from now, we may be punctuating our memory of this moment with the phrase “and the rest is history.”
Upon a fan’s suggestion that Gunn find a role for Hamill in GotG Vol. 3, the filmmaker was immediately open to the idea. Hamill was as well, and the two began arranging a meeting via Twitter.
