Avengers: Infinity War is an Academy Award nominee. The Marvel Studios film has been nominated for the Best Visual Effects Oscar®. Visual effects supervisors Dan DeLeeuw, Kelly Port, Russell Earl, and special effects supervisor Dan Sudick were all named in the nomination.
Avengers: Infinity War‘s lone nomination gives Marvel Studios a total of eight this year. Black Panther did the heavy lifting with seven, including Best Picture.

IW looks great in every way,no doubt about that and the movie deserves nomination even the winning competition, but for me James Wan’s Aquaman deserves also nomination and not only for VFX but you know what i STOP caring about oscars LONG TIME AGO!!
