Marvel Studios’ Black Panther has been nominated for Best Picture and six other Oscars® by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Just over eleven months since its release, the film continues to break new ground. Black Panther is the first superhero-based movie in history to be nominated for the Academy’s top prize.

It’s funny how BP isn’t nominated in Best Director, Actor, Actress, or Supporting Roles categories. Yet somehow managed to be nominated for Best Picture.
