It appears that Sony Pictures wants to take full advantage of the massive amount of hype building up for Spider-Man: Homecoming.
New listings for the previous films, Sam Raimi’s iconic trilogy and Marc Webb’s Amazing Spider-Man reboot films, have popped up on sites such as Wal-Mart and Best Buy.
I miss the days of Spider-Man 2. I was blown away back then, and still am whenever I watch it. The battle between Doc and Spidey is still extremely impressive and better than most super hero crap nowadays, and the emotion and writing is still on point. I miss the days when directors with an actual vision were still hired, and the studio limited themselves to giving money, distributing the movie and just giving ideas for the toys they wanted to sell (though Sony just had to fuck Raimi’s third entry). Can’t wait for Homecoming, though! Directed by the same guy who directed Clown! A horror movie about a clown! Yay!

So we all agree that the “Amazing” films are basically the awkward Schumacher era for Spidey films, right?

Could the Homecoming films be the Zack Snyder era of Batman then?
