The ongoing saga of the Marvel Studios reorganization, in which president Kevin Feige and the Studios now report directly to Walt Disney Studios’ Alan Horn instead of Marvel Entertainment CEO Ike Perlmutter, continued Thursday afternoon with a new report by THR. The Hollywood trade, quoting several unnamed sources, reports that Feige nearly quit Marvel altogether during the production of Captain America: Civil War, forcing Disney CEO Bob Iger to find a new solution.
You know…this is all interesting that we’re getting this “news” of “shakeups” in the MCU lately. Perfect timing since DCEU is about to reinvigorate the genre. Gee I wonder if Marvel movies are finally going to get some balls and do something interesting and not make safe movies anymore? This is all shite to make a “reason” why MCU movies have always played it safe.

So you’re saying that the MCU is a mixed bag? I know that the cinematic universe has had flack in addition to the mistreatment of the villains.

The MCU is mainstream garbage at its worst and most elemental form.

I wouldn’t call Cap 2 a “really good” movie. It ditches the characterization of Cap from the first movie to “grit-it-up” in an attempt to one-up the terrorist plots of TheDKTrilogy (TDK in particular).

I think the Winter Soldier was a good villain. But maybe that’s because I like the WS storyline. But I agree with some of your opinions. But I love Cap 2, it’s my favorit Marvel movie, just ahead of Guardians, and then Iron Man 1. The rest of the movies I don’t like. Especially Avengers 2, that movie is bad. Ultron seemed menacing in the trailers and then he’s just weak and supposed to be funny? Stupid decision Marvel.

I do agree with you about Civil War, in that he will have a limited screentime and development in the movie. But like I wrote in my previous comment, I’m a fan of the character so I already know his origin and so on. Yes Pierce was the man with the plan but I liked how they used Bucky. He was tough, and it was no easy task for Cap and his friends to deal with him.
That’s what I missed in the other villains in Marvels Universe. I could never fully buy Loki as a strong villain, I love Hiddlestons work with the character but seriously Loki could never win a fight on his own. Just an example.

The Dark Knight is my favorite movie of all time. And I agree, Ledger’s Joker is the best villain so far. But I also like villains that believe they are doing the right thing. You get their pov :)
