Avengers: Infinity War has been billed as the “deadliest showdown of all time.” We have seen The Avengers fight off gods, aliens, and robots with relatively minimal casualties, but that isn’t going to be the case when they battle Thanos (Josh Brolin). Some heroes are not going to live to see Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
This week’s trailer shows several Avengers in harm’s way, including a pinned Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and a punched out Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.). Marvel Studios is sending a message and fans are wondering which Avengers and other Marvel stars will be seen for the last time in the franchise’s next two movies.
In an effort to have a little fun with such a dreaded subject, Marvel Studios News is introducing our Avengers: Infinity War dead pool, looking at each major character’s odds of dying. For the purposes of this dead pool, death means that a character is still dead when Avengers 4 ends in May 2019. With Infinity Stones in play, it does not count if a character “dies” and comes back within these next two Avengers films.
The following Avengers: Infinity War dead pool, which will evolve as we go along to add characters and adjust odds, ranks several MCU heroes and other major characters from the least likely to die, to those whose funerals we can already start planning.
