I’m conflicted. This looks really cool but there’s something seriously off about the animation style, like it’s lagging. It’s really distracting.
I noticed that too! Wasn’t sure if it was some kind of glitch or if it was intentional. I didn’t like it though.
Yeah I’m not really sure about this animation style. It looks like the same type used in BLAME! And it looks good, but it’s almost like they cut it down to 8 fps intentionally or something. Really doesn’t make sense for an otherwise great looking style.
You don´t watch anime, do you? The CG animation isn´t running at 24 fps. The video is but every second of animation is repeated twice in a 24 frames a sec interval. Or something like that. Watch the Batman Ninja trailer for example. The same thing happens there too.
“Part of the problem is that not only are CG artists trying to imitate the look of 2D animation, but they’re trying to imitate an aesthetic that was born out of cost-cutting. If anime had always been lavishly funded, it might have consistently been animated on 1’s or 2’s (that is, 24 or 12 frames per second, or a cel every 1 or 2 film frames). But it’s usually far less. To try and match that, CG artists have started rendering at lower frame rates — 6 or even 4 frames per second.”

I don’t watch anime, because I don’t like how it looks. And when I said the style looked “off” I meant I didn’t like it.
The animation is really choppy. Why wouldn’t Sony release this through Netflix?
This looks insane. It’s definitely more of a stop-motion animation style, but it’s nothing to complain about. This is something I didn’t even know I wanted
The animation reminds me a bit of Kubo and the Two Strings.
It honestly feels like this trailer is 3D and I should have glasses on because what I’m looking at feels like I’m watching 3D without the glasses. I don’t mind the slowness of the frames per second I think it gives that animation it’s animation feel which is cool however I’m not a fan of this whole 3Desque look. Also how does everyone feel about this whole multiple Spider-Man universe thing? I don’t know if I’m on board with this or not
Tron: Uprising + Spider-Man = my butt in a theater!
