We knew Marvel Studios was set to drop two trailers this week, but now it may be going for the hat trick. Collider reports that the first trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home will arrive this Saturday, December 8! The trailer is supposed to premiere during Sony’s panel at Comic-Con Experience in Brazil.
and thats kind of the problem I have with the way Marvel does their universe. Spidey got snapped. As far as the universe is concerned, he is gone. And people complained about Superman’s death being meaningless… it doesn’t matter that they waited 10 years to do something like that. The result is still the same
It’s a huge Reed Richards stretch, but I could see them claim “this could be a prequel to IW”… the suit isn’t exactly the same as the beginning of IW.
Which Superman death; the comic book storyline or BvS? I rolled my eyes at his death in BvS, but I also did at the notion all of the deaths in IW were permanent. It’s comic books, if your name isn’t “Wayne” or “Ben Parker,” you don’t stay dead!
i guess its possible but im not sure thats the right direction imo. I think it needs to be a constant progression forward. Seeing him gradually age through high school and eventually college and what not. Tom is likely in this for the long haul
I just hope this isn’t as generic as Homecoming. I’ve already made my peace with the fact that Infinity War will most likely end up being a mindless, pointless 2 hour long action sequence with negligible consequences. I just hope they can at least deliver something even slightly more interesting than Homecoming. Also, for the love of god don’t fucking ruin the spider suit with shit cgi like you did in Homecoming, Civil War and Infinity War , Marvel.
The supersuit bothered me more then using cgi. Raimi’s two movies were superior to Homecoming (I’d argue his writing was better in Civil War & Infinity War then Homecoming), but they tweaked with CGI too.
I’m hoping less circle of friends stuff & more with May.
Every suit he wears looks awful because Marvel insists on making it look fake as shit with bad cgi. The Amazing Spiderman 2 actually has by far the greatest cgi of any spider suit and imo looks the best too. Yes, Spiderman 1 and 2 are better than Homecoming. I’d say his writing was better in Civil War but it was pretty average in IW. But it’s so distracting how bad his cgi is. And yes, more May would be cool. I’d just focus on Ned and May tbh.
I haven’t watched Amazing Spider-man 2. The one time I saw ASM, I realized it was a series not for me. Both have been airing on cable lately, but I’m quick on the remote trigger to find something else.
I thought the initial dialogue in IW was good. By the time they got to Titan, I thought it dropped off. Especially when he was turning to dust. I know people swoon over the scene, but I found it as corny as him not wearing his mask.*
* I’m old school; I like when characters keep their identities secret, even from each other.
I completely agree with everything you said regarding IW. But, while I wouldn’t tell you to watch TASM2, I would definitely tell you to watch the opening to get a sense of how good the cgi is.

i think people liked Homecoming mostly because it just felt like classic teenager Peter Parker dealing with high School issues. Very grounded, simple, and relatable.
Didn’t really feel all that interesting though. Because aside from the fact the fact that for once Tom kinda looks like a teenager both TASM and Spiderman 1 deal with high school too. It just felt like there wasn’t much special about the film at all. If it weren’t for Michael Keaton I wouldn’t hesitate to call it mediocre.
