Looks cute. They should change the title to Spideman & Ironman Homecoming
Great contribution to this blog
I aim to please
Better than the crap you spewed below. If you’re going to hand out BJ’s at least get paid for it.
Welcome to the convo cjflan32! I would love to actually engage your thoughts, instead of hurling insults at you. If you don’t want to do that, have a great day!
I liked this trailer, the whole commentary about “If you’re nothing without that suit, then you don’t deserve to wear it.” was surprisingly deep for Marvel, in a good way. I’m sure I’ll enjoy this movie however, I must say I’m divided, I grew up with JL and Spider-man and it’s hard for me to say which one I’ll like better. Most likely, I’ll enjoy them in different ways.
I still think Justice League will be amazing though!
Agreed on all counts!!!
Here, have an upvote.
Why thank you
I know I’m in the minority here, but that trailer still didn’t get me hyped for the movie.
I also understand my next statement won’t be a popular opinion, but it’s kinda weird to me that Iron Man is so heavily featured in the trailer. It’s a Spider-man movie, but it feels like Iron Man is being brought in to make sure this is a billion dollar movie (because he’s the reason the other MCU movies cross 1B.) But I can see why. RDJ is just absolute gold in that role.
Lastly, the CGI just makes the suit look too…. “soft”. It just looks really… fake to me.
On the plus side, Holland looks like he’ll be great in the role again and Michael Keaton is always awesome.
I def hear where ur coming from
Ugh this movie looks like hot garbage
Iron Man (this version at least) mentoring another superhero is a joke. This guy is the main reason for most of the headaches in the MCU.
All three of his solo adventures involved problems he created with his ego and his selfishness.
Many of the real heroes are fugitives in Wakanda because of him.
He was too lazy to continue the fight so he decided to make a robot that eventually started dropping cities on people.
The only Avenger that needed to be put in check with the Sokovia Accords was him, and then when it finally dawned on him that he f****** up he still threw a temper tantrum because some poor bastard was used to kill his parents. Oh wait, the only one he cared about Bucky killing was his mom.
What a great “hero.”
Do you not think that exactly what you mentioned is the point in his growth during this movie? He is selfish. That part of his character will always flare up, but he has clearly (and believably) grown from that during these movies…he has felt the weight of the consequences of his insanely large ego, and he doesn’t want Spiderman to be groomed prematurely for him to feel like he’s ultra important. We both bring our individual sensibilities to this…but I would really like to see your response (as long as it is about the discussion and not woven with incendiary remarks that are personal in nature)
Exactly, and Cap is a super-steroid abuser whose only concern is Bucky, besides having the hots for the Carter bloodline. Sick fuck. Some hero huh?
The only “hero” in Civil Dispute was Black Panther.
Looks better than Justice League.
While it isn’t necessarily the same phase in those universes’ process, I agree.
Oh God. Cmon man, JL looks amazing.
Your handle/ disqus name is AWESOME…haha
Why thank you sir.
They both look like generic crap.
You must be fun to be around.
New favorite disqus personality is u
Superhero movies are the shit nowadays…
Don’t get it…how can you watch this and not appreciate it or AT L E A S T respect it. RDJs iron man was unaware, selfish and his maturation from after IM3 into CW and now the mentoring role here to share w Peter the power of inner strength is awesome. The villain doesn’t look phenomenal, but it’s a legendary actor who we know will give a compelling performance. I get it, we’re kind of burnt because we’ve had 3 Spider-Man actors almost within a decade. But let’s WATCH these trailers indoendently of that, and appreciate the story here. Whether you like it or not, the movie will be highly reviewed by professional story analysts (critics) (also, we do realize that MCU wouldn’t be successful if the story sucked right? Their success is because there are some damn shred business men behind the scenes who know how to hire, create a space for a process of story telling that works over a long time and do so w innovation. Yeah this is a stupid long defense of Marvel rant…but D.C. And Marvel can BOTH. BE. GOOD. And news flash: They’re not exactly competing either…
Maybe we’re uncomfortable w an organization/ studio/ company that says: “Hey world, we’re starting a new thing here and it’s going to be new, different, popular, and crazy successful” and then proceed to ACTUALLY DO IT. Not sure why, but I think it hurts our pride for people to see a rich company like Disney just crush it non-stop, after saying it would do so. And please don’t @ me about your definition of “crush it”, because you and I may disagree there. But they’re crushing it
Disney didn’t start it. Marvel themselves started it in a last-ditch attempt to survive after they’d already sold off the movie rights to the properties that actually sold books at the time (plus FF). Disney came in with their checkbook after IM and IH were successful.
I can’t say whether or not they’re “crushing it” as I haven’t seen any Marvel movies since the 1990 Cap film.
I didn’t know all that, but cool!! I know there is somewhat of a history between the two, but this is great context.
By “maturation” you must be referring to him feeling bad for creating a killer robot because he didn’t want to play superhero anymore. Then he followed it up by not trusting Cap and then starting a brawl due to mommy issues. And that was just the last two films.
Guess that’s not the only definition we disagree on.
Oh, and it’s real clever how you finished your argument by basically telling everyone not to argue with you because you’re automatically right. Always the way to prove you’re point.
My man! I didn’t want to spend time disagreeing with someone about whether they agreed on if Marvel is doing a great job. Objectively, they are…but I’m aware that many fans don’t feel that way. I’m sure you have sophisticated thoughts here, and I’d love to hear that. I disagree with the simplistic nature you characterized the evolution of that character with, but thankfully your opinion is just as valid as anyone else’s. Thank you for adding such depth to the site
Good to know you can read minds. You have no idea what the critics are going to think about this movie. I do agree the villian doesn’t look interesting, I love Holland as Spider-Man though so I’m excited for that aspect of the movie. I just hope RDJ doesn’t overtake the movie.
:)
I’m sold. I thought the first trailer was ‘meh’ with all the shitty typical one-liners but this looks pretty darn good.
Definitely with you on this. First trailer was lackluster to say the least. This trailer definitely has me interested again. I just wonder which trailer better represents the movie as a whole.
I guess we’ll see…I’m definitely planning to check it out but am expecting to get what has become so common with the Marvel movies.
In other related news, it’s amazing how many sites are taking advantage of comparing this and the JL trailer. The Spider-Man trailer is taking hits for showing too much plot, something that BvS had criticism for. But some sites are once again giving a free pass to the MCU movie, stating that JL failed in not revealing enough. It’s a never-ending unnecessary battle. Why these movies continue to be compared to each other and have countless articles building one up to drag the other down is beyond me. The almighty click rules all on the internet.
An awful LOT of Tony Stank in there. LOL He’ll PROBABLY only have a few scenes. But why not just give Iron Man the movie off, and let Spidey truely fly solo? Darn you Sony! I wanted an Emma Stone Spider-Gwen movie!😍 https://uploads.disquscdn.c…
Because they don’t think Spider-Man can carry this franchise on his own. Marvel sees the difference between a crossover movie and a solo one. Crossover movies make a ton more money. Another example being Thor Ragnarok. The solo Thor films were awful so they made the wise choice and teamed him with Hulk.
Marvel’s dependancy on Tony Stark is beyond pathetic.
I don’t know what looks worse, this or Justice League.
Are you upset that Grant isn’t in JL or do you legitimately think it looks bad?
No, I really think it looks bad.
Booooooooo. Boo your comment.
I think very highly of Holland as Spider-Man so I will go and see the movie but honestly the trailers have been very average to me. I hope the movie is better then the trailers because right now this looks average at best.
